IRS Recruitment is supporting our client with exciting long-term opportunities for TIG Welders to join major engineering projects in the Tyne & Wear area.

With immediate starts available, these roles offer excellent earning potential and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.

The Role

We are seeking experienced TIG Welders who have a proven background working on heavy steel fabrications and Piping, structural steelwork.

What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in TIG welding heavy steel fabrications and Piping structures
• Qualified in TIG welding procedures
• Current welding qualifications with all required stamps completed within the last six months are highly desirable, although not essential
• A strong commitment to quality, safety and workmanship

Shift Pattern

Weekday Backshift
• Monday to Friday
• 42 hours per week

Overtime may be available.

Enhanced rates of pay are available, subject to the successful completion of Multi-Functional Training where required.

Pay Rates (PAYE – Backshift)
• £23.81 – £26.02 per hour – First 38 approved hours
• £30.95 – £33.83 per hour – Hours worked over 38 (approved)
• £35.72 – £39.03 per hour – Approved Saturday hours
• £47.62 – £52.04 per hour – Approved Sunday and Bank Holiday hours
