IRS Recruitment have urgent opportunities available with our long-standing client on major long-term projects based in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear — and we want to hear from you today!

We’re currently looking for experienced Plater(s) to join the team working on heavy steel fabrications and large structures right here in the Northeast of England.

For the right candidates, these roles offer excellent long-term prospects and could lead to permanent positions.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication and structural work

. Hold or be willing to obtain a CSCS qualification.

Shift Patterns Potentially Available:
(Please tell us your preferred shift when applying — we’ll do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee.)

Dayshift:

Mon–Thu: 7am–4pm 

Fri: 7am–3.30pm

42 hours per week

Backshift:

Mon–Thu: 4pm–1am

Fri: 3.30pm–12 midnight

42 hours per week

Excellent PAYE Rates: 

Dayshift:

£21.50/hr – First 38 hours worked & approved 

£27.95/hr – Overtime (over 38 hrs worked & approved)

£32.25/hr – Saturday hours worked & approved

£43.00/hr – Sunday & Bank Holiday hours worked & approved

Backshift:

£23.81/hr – First 38 hours worked & approved

£30.95/hr – Overtime (over 38 hrs worked & approved)

£35.72/hr – Saturday hours worked & approved

£47.62/hr – Sunday & Bank Holiday hours worked & approved
