We have an excellent opportunity for a Store Supervisor to join a well-established organisation in Wallsend.

Whilst working a Dayshift 42-hour week - Monday to Thursday - 07:30hrs - 17:00hrs and Friday - 07:30hrs - 13:30hrs.

For the first 42 hours worked and approved - £20.85 per hour.
In excess of 42 hours worked and approved - £22.93 per hour.
Saturday & Sunday hours worked and approved - £31.27 per hour.
Bank Holiday hours worked and approved - £41.70 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities for Store Supervisor

* To operate, maintain and continuously improve the control and storage of goods and / or material applicable to the project and / or as required for Company business activities.
* Ensure that goods / material / plant are available in line with the needs of the Company (for project and / or other purposes), in line with the Company Material Plant Handling Procedure.
* Work in accordance with agreed principles for the control of project Material, goods, plant and / or equipment.
* Ensure the goods / plant handling process and principles meets Company Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
* Responsible for co-ordinating safe, efficient, and correct offloading when receiving incoming goods and / or plant, using approved Company techniques and ensuring materials are receipted and matched with delivery notes in ERP, as required.
* Required to check and monitor the receipt of material against manifest / delivery note including the reporting of any notable damages to QA / QC and sign off paperwork (CMR), as required.
* Communicate with Stores, Production and Project Management regarding shortages and damages of materials.
* Responsible for visually checking items, and the quantities for outgoing goods and / or material.
* Familiarisation with call - off list, checking listed materials match with any drawing revisions, and communicating any found differences to Production.
* Liaison with stores to ensures timely distribution of material to relevant location on site and all movement of material is completed safely.
* Ensure that all material which is to be stored is moved and stored safely and correctly with due regard to the properties of the item, as required.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of products and processes involved in day-to-day delivery of materials and / or goods.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained in relation to material control activities and all associated equipment.
* Links with Production and HSE to ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Links with Quality and Safety of all project and non-project related equipment and material, including consumables.
* Oversee daily operations, while accurately controlling inventory, and logistics where necessary.
* Ensure all equipment and processes comply with health and safety standards and all purchases are inspected with due regards to health and safety requirements.
* Ensure all equipment and processes comply with environmental standards and all purchases are inspected with due regards to environmental requirements.
* Ensure goods received are as expected and are recorded as such using the appropriate software.
* Check all paperwork in relation to goods received to ensure this processed in accordance with Company requirements and to enable accurate record-keeping.
* Store project-related and non-project related goods in the correct location, in accordance with Company requirements.
* Ensure that any materials required for production and / or final assembly is received in a timely manner, and in accordance with any pre-agreed deadlines.
* Liaise with the Logistics controller for instructions on preparation of outgoing goods / transports.
* Suitably package goods and / or equipment for outgoing transport.
* Manage storage of articles through the stock rotation system
* Carry out physical stock checks to assist the Production department and assist with the maintenance of accurate electronic records.
* Manage and monitor stock levels within the stores
* Operate forklift truck, where suitably trained and qualified to do so, for the loading and unloading of goods and storage.
* Communicate and follow up with regards to levels of gas, welding material and paint with Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager.
* Ensure stores area are kept with safe and clean working conditions and maintain a high standard of housekeeping to maximise efficiency and minimise risks.
