Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer reporting to the Site Manager, who can facilitate the preventative and reactive maintenance and development of machinery along with the general upkeep of the premises.
Working a 41.25 hour rotational weekly shift pattern as below.
Monday to Friday - 05:30hrs - 14:30hrs
Monday to Friday - 13:00hrs - 22:00hrs
Monday to Friday - 08:00hrs - 17:00hrs
JOB SPECIFICATION:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to assist the Management team in achieving and maintaining production plans by ensuring that local services and production machinery are maintained and developed to the required standard, with a view to achieving a preventative maintenance program.
Being reliant upon delivering excellent levels of production, the smooth running and continued development of plant and equipment is a fundamental but vital task for the successful candidate. You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret drawings and work instructions quickly and efficiently.
With sound experience in fault diagnosic and repair applications, it is often necessary to keep an effective production team moving.
You will be responsible for fault diagnosis to enable the identification of required parts and thereafter be able to specify, advise those parts or alternative replacement parts. (subject to approval procedure).
You must be a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills ensuring that production and effectiveness is maintained at a consistently high level by the use of sound communication practices, thus ensuring that all necessary works and machine downtime are completed to fit in with the production plan.
COMPETENCY SPECIFICATION
Good communications with Management Team ensure that good 'cover' and 'additional' services are timely and efficient.
Good communications with Management Team ensure that spares stock and replacement parts are specified and ordered in good time to maximise factory productivity in line with Cost Centre Spends.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
2. Good understanding of machine operation.
3. A good understanding of the requirements of relevant H&S Legislation.
4. Experience of Engineering workshops and all associated tools and machinery.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
